[APR-21-16 Jim Baer] Circumstances have changed a bit since we last talked. I think this will have to wait till the new FY now.  However, Paul did indicate that he likes the nicer paper (with texture that does not leave smudges or fingerprints).  He also like the silver embossed silver emblem.

So now we know:
·        Folder Style
·        Folder Paper
·        Paul Likes Embossed Emblem

[APR-12-16 Jim Baer] Gift Planning has design and pricing from Hartley, Alta and D. Romrell since February, 15. I sent Shirl a What's Up? today.

[JAN-15-16 Jim Baer] Touched base by phone with Whitney Jenkins, CSR @ Hartley Press to discuss project. This is a good intro project to gauge capabilities and working relationship. I sent her specs for the project and requested a quote. Also sent her images of the mockups and PDF of latest version. She indicated she'll be in G'ville next week. Meeting TBD.

[JAN-15-16 Jim Baer] Made the design changes and created a mockup for Gift Planning to Review.

[JAN-15-16 Jim Baer] In Nov 2015: Discussed the folder comps with Sheryl and Chris Cupoli. They indicated the desired design choice and the changes they would like to see implemented.

[OCT-27-15 Jim Baer] mocked up 3 comps and shared them with P Caspersen on 10/23. Haven't heard any more since then.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
