Project Description
Similar to a resolution but a brick presentation at the board meeting. Award being presented by Gale King to Beth McCague Below is the initial stab at the text: Legacy Award Presentation – Gale King This has been a historical year for UF. We’ve celebrated our rise into the Top 10 of public universities and launched Go Greater – the university’s largest campaign. Our focus has been unwavering in our land-grant mission, dedicated to excellence in education and research and shaping a better future for Florida, the nation and the world. Our success is built upon people – our world class faculty, dedicated staff, thought leaders and you, the university’s best advocates. As I begin my term as Executive Board chair, I want to acknowledge all of you. UF is a nationally premier public academic research university because of your dedication and support. We are profoundly proud of becoming a Top 10 public university, but what matters most are the number of lives improved, cures delivered and innovations fostered through the University of Florida. Together, we can achieve great things. Few people have embraced this notion more than Beth McCague. She is one of our best champions – someone who has personified commitment so well. She has TBD. The greatest honor we can give Beth is our pledge to further advance the university – to continue her legacy. It is with sincere gratitude for her steadfast commitment to the University of Florida that we, the University of Florida Foundation National Board, present the 2018 Legacy Award to Beth McCague. This brick is a lasting a symbol that she is an integral part of our foundation – a sentiment that we will recognize in the new foundation building. [Gale presents award…Beth says a few remarks] Thank you for helping us celebrate the wonderful legacy of Beth McCague. And, thank you for all that you do to help advance UF as a top academic research university. We hope to see you in the fall {DATES}.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
