Project Description
Apple Animation for Aaron Hoover's Presentaiton. 1) I want to show Apple first 2) Then I want to show UF 3) Then I want to show lots of GOOD LOVE flowing between Apple and UF Can you help me to do this better than my very basic concept for three progressive slides attached? I mean, it’s fine, but I feel like it could be a helluva better. I know you’re probably super busy, and you definitely don’t work for me, so I completely understand if you can’t help me. Let me know if that’s the case and I’ll look elsewhere. Aaron “”””We sponsor a major career fair twice a year to connect job-seeking students with major employers. Hundreds of national and Florida companies come to the fair. After years of trying, we finally convinced a little company called Apple to join them. ► Apple’s recruiters were so impressed with UF students they have recognized UF as a “top five” university for talent. ► In fact, because of UF, Apple actually changed its recruiting strategy. It used to only have recruiters in Texas and California. It just added a new location: Gainesville, Florida. ►””””””” We want see many more global corporations make that same decision.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
