Mila Grace Montuno was a lovely baby girl who had a difficult diagnosis at birth. She was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, one of the rarest congenital heart defects that leaves babies with only one functioning pumping heart chamber, rather than two. Doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to provide Mila the best chance at life - this included numerous heart procedures, surgeries, medications, and even various life support machines for her heart and lungs. Despite these efforts, Mila suffered several complications that were too much for her little body to bear. Through her 11 weeks of life, Mila was a true fighter. She kept defying the odds to the very end. Regardless of her circumstances, Mila was such a pleasant baby. She spoke with her big, candid eyes and had a sweet and gentle personality. She knew that her parents loved her enormously. Everyone who met her immediately gravitated toward her.  She loved listening to her mother sing, watching her mobile above her, and having her head rubbed.

The 11 weeks of Mila's life were quite tumultuous. Mila's clinical course often followed an unexpected path, and through those weeks, the nursing staff was spectacular. The nurses caring for Mila truly had caring hearts and minds. Undoubtedtly, their keen eyes and instincts helped prolong Mila's short life. The nurses ensured that Mila was as comfortable as possible while she fought for her life. They were outstanding advocates for baby Mila and for her parents as well.

In honor of Mila's fight and the tender care of the nurses supporting her, this scholarship fund was established to support excellence in nursing - to promote the development of talented, caring nurses that support fighting babies just like Mila.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
