Project Description
John Glier from GG+A has offered UF an opportunity for a full page ad (on their dime) in an upcoming edition of the CASE “Currents” magazine. A few samples of what they have done in the past for some of their other clients is located in Box. After talking with Tom, he would like to put together an ad celebrating the success of the Go Greater campaign, including a specific mention of the following: • Rankings (top 5) and quality (we can pull from the latest Gator mag spread) • AI-enabled students and faculty • The skyline changes at UF (new buildings) • Faculty/students/scholarships That’s a lot to fit into a single page, but the idea here would be that the Go Greater campaign enabled these things to happen. The ad will also need to include the attached GG+A logo and the following text (see the samples for size/location/etc.): "Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), a fundraising consulting firm, is proud to partner with the University of Florida. To learn more about GG+A’s support of fundraising in higher education, visit https://www.grenzebachglier.com/clients-we-serve/higher-education/ or call 312-372-4040." Nicole - content, that would be great. Dave - I would love to see this be a powerful/compelling design effort using some of our AI & For the Greater work. Not sure about the Top 5 logo. Design specs are below: With Bleed 8.50 x 11.125 in 215.9 x 282.575 mm Trim 8.25 x 10.875 in 209.55 x 276.225 mm Live Area 7.25 x 9.875 in 184.15 x 250.825 mm Tom is going to be involved in this one. The ad is due on October 20th, but GG+A wants to review it a few days in advance. Let’s plan on getting a draft to Tom early in the week of October 4, to give ourselves time.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
