Project Description
Lindsey discussed these pieces with Luke on 9/30. Luke would like to take general concepts to Tom on 10/19 to confirm whether this is something Tom is interested in for Q2. We’re going to propose the same approach as last year with Top 5 integrated into the content and images. Email Materials Due to Digital Team: 11/30 Email Draft Approval/Data Due: 12/6 Tent. Send Date: 12/7 This project will include two components: 1. An email sent to all donors who have given a gift in calendar year 2021 2. A printed card mailed to Executive Board members and Tom’s VIP donors Here are some project notes from last year: • Clean, sophisticated email design; “2020 was extraordinary…because of you, {donor name}.” • Email content focuses on major milestones and big wins; “in spite of all that’s happened, UF still had a successful year” o Top 6 (Top 5 this year!) o AI University o DeLuca IFAS Preserve and other gifts highlights to be determined by Leadership • The card will mirror the content and design of the email, as some donors will receive both (email contains detailed messaging, card serves as high level and personal gratitude piece) • The card will include a printed message of gratitude for the VIP donors’ leadership, involvement and philanthropy during 2020 • Hand-signed by Tom • Megan will draft the content, and will run it up for approvals (Luke, Maria, Tom) • Drop Date: Between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
