Project Description
NEW (10/6/21): - Business card - Packet envelope (large enough to fit folder) - Talent management template for AVP-COM role (to be repurposed for future positions) - see file in construction folder (https://ufodaa.app.box.com/file/871753373275) ** More details in notes below. Luke has been part of a series of meeting with Tom and other leaders to look at the way UF Advancement recruits and retains top talent. There is a need to refresh our recruitment materials. Melissa and her team have done some work on content, and we are ready to move forward with some design. A few notes: • I would like to think of these as a suite of materials that will grow over time. Tom is keen on building on our existing AI look and feel while creating a Top 5 aesthetic that we can be proud to show external candidates. • Tom would like to create a new pocket folder to serve as the hub for these documents and materials. • There are four other items that we would like to produce as part of our initial run: 3 one-pagers (UF, UF Advancement, and Gainesville/Florida). Tom would like to see these one pagers “laddered” in the folder with UF first, UFF second, and then GNV/FL the shortest. We should be able to build on the one pagers that we have already done (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ve781huupizkl1o/AACslrqqVvFq2J1EldHjilHza?dl=0) but with a new look/feel. We would like a template to serve as an overview document for specific positions. Melissa’s draft content for these three one pagers is in Box. Note that we will likely need to cut these down significantly to make them fit on a single page with the laddered approach. Melissa and team are working on sample content for the position document this week. Our next meeting with Tom on this project is on August 10th, and it would be great to show him some early drafts at that time. This is an emerging priority, so I want to make sure we put our best foot forward on it.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
