no Canceled   Alumni Invitation The college will be hosting a higher-profile alumni event in Chicago on June 16th. Since this event is a very important one for our office of development, Ryan asked me to reach out to you and inquire about the possibility of having an invite designed by your staff. We don’t need anything too complicated (I have thoughts on concept, and I promise it is very simple!), but certainly something a little nicer than we would be able to do in-house. Please let me know if this is something you think you may be able to assist us with. For the invite I would like to incorporate the Chicago skyline but with, of course, an orange and blue feel. Perhaps with those colors somehow incorporated in the buildings or sky? Below are a few invites that I have found for examples, I like how the buildings are represented in these—you know it is Chicago but not overly formal. The last one is my favorite and I though the geometric pattern could into the alligator texture we commonly use. I am not overly creative in this department though so I will be greatly appreciative of any feedback or suggestions for a different direction. https://www.google.com/search?q=chicago+skyline+invite&biw=1920&bih=969&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HJo6Vf2zO4iAsQS60ICwCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#imgrc=TOB7nO1ZVNaP8M%253A%3BLYhhuRgkvu7r-M%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fimg0.etsystatic.com%252F000%252F1%252F5191176%252Fil_fullxfull.305381070.jpg%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.etsy.com%252Flisting%252F90200929%252Fwedding-invitation-skyline-chicago%3B1498%3B1500 https://www.google.com/search?q=chicago+skyline+invite&biw=1920&bih=969&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HJo6Vf2zO4iAsQS60ICwCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#imgrc=c_AegHhT4o_2rM%253A%3BZiaFZzJzJWL1UM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fimages.paperstyle.com%252Fi%252FChicago-Skyline-Invitations-p-608-75-119-z.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.paperstyle.com%252Fis-bin%252FChicago-Skyline-Invitations-p-608-75-119%3B598%3B598 https://www.google.com/search?q=chicago+skyline+invite&biw=1920&bih=969&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HJo6Vf2zO4iAsQS60ICwCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#imgrc=td2Z2GqCnFDb1M%253A%3BevXX6QFcWTT0dM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Frlv.zcache.com%252Fmodern_urban_chicago_skyline_wedding_invitation-r6af856908c304f98ae0a233600e2d237_zkrqs_1024.jpg%253Frlvnet%253D1%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.zazzle.com%252Fmodern_urban_chicago_skyline_wedding_invitation-161853021048575333%3B1104%3B1104 Ideally, we would like to send a small portion of the invites via mail but a majority will be sent electronically. We are still piecing together exactly what the text will read but I would say it is fair to say it will be along the lines of the following: The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences along with the University of Florida Alumni Association invite you to a “Snapshot of the College” (more creative title in the works!). Featuring faculty members Dr. Gregory Glass and TBD with special guest, Dean Dave Richardson. --Depending on the design of the invite, we can add another line about the purpose and content, we are OK without additional text here though-- June 16th, 6pm-9pm Location TBD Cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvers will be served Attire is business casual or Gator chic Please RSVP by June 12th to alumni@clas.ufl.edu or 352-273-2970 https://ufodaa.box.com/s/hdlnhmvioswqza6vg9astrawqzqfe0od

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.

We're glad you're interested in doing more with Quickbase!
