04-17-2015 DCP Mailer What: Mailer is to draw awareness for leaving a bequest to DCP – and Brandon is just the example we’ll use. Envelope has DCP address. Reply cards will go to Julie/Shirl. DCP may do something like this again in the fall, and this will be a template for other colleges to use going forward. Audience: DCP alumni who might be in a position of leaving a bequest. Age 50+, who will be campaign eligible. (60+ is 4,000; waiting on #s for 50+) Content: 1. David and Dana Brandon feature profile. Search for YMCA article. Could pull quotes from there. He’s new UF trustee. -$1.4 M bequest. (The way he tells it – they have 3 girls – we just added a 4th child and left a quarter of his estate to charity.) 2. DCP’s 90-yr anniversary is this fall (birthday party celebration showing Bannister and family – photo in UFDC). See Julie about graphic element designed for anniversary. Call for photos and stories for the anniversary. 3. There are many ways to leave a gift in your will or estate plans: cash, percentage, stocks, IRAs, insurance, etc. [stock story] 4. Contact info (Julie likes the “action steps” infographic) Addition 1. Reply card on which people can request 2 brochures: (Liesl is gathering content for these now. Won’t need to have them in hand until people send in their reply cards.) • Feel secure in your retirement years • Bequest brochure Art: Photo of Brandons. May need to send a freelancer to shoot a portrait of him and his wife. Ozona, FL near Palm Harbor/Tampa. Stock photos of college and Rinker. Outdoor classroom, green roof, grassy plaza, etc. Deadline: ASAP, since it should arrive in mailboxes a couple days before Memorial Day (21st-ish) Pull now: Get DCP logo from Julie Frey DCP stock photos – from Rinker angle: Quantity: Julie is pulling the list https://ufodaa.box.com/s/7n9htl7gxk7s00an0svtnyzhom83a5r6         Tasks Completed

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
