We are now ready to go live - Thank you!

Since we're now under the CCC Career Fair umbrella for this event, our aim is to only use CVent for the initial emailing of companies  and then accepting their payment after they've created an account and registered on the CareerFair+ app. I'm having a problem with getting my event to recognize its admission item, apparently. Whenever I try to do a test registration it stops at that  point saying there is no admission item.

I am ready to send out some emails, though. :)

ok, well just change things on this form so that everything matches with Cvent form.  This is all for use by gift processing and accounting, so all needs to coordinate. I don't know anything about the CareerFair+ app.  You may want to discuss with gift processing about how the funds would be processed.

Registration questions edited.

One thing we're still trying to figure out is if we're going to use CVent just for the payment feature and not as the official registration site (and instead using CareerFair+). CCC is looking into if payments is something that the CareerFair+ app setup can handle.

I admit it's a bit confusing how it will all work out. But then again, that goes for a lot of things these days :)

I filled out the request form quite a while ago using parameters from last year's fair  - and before we decided to go virtual. Virtual allowed us to drop the price/company.

registration fee on this event request form shows $800, but on Cvent form it is $400

Royce,
A few issues with your event registration form. There are a few questions on the registration form that would only be appropriate for an in person career fair.  This one is virtual, correct? Please look over all of the questions and remove the ones that are not applicable. ex- power cords
Thanks,
Martha

Ready to launch!

-- [AUG-03-20 Anonymous] --------------
As long as I can go through and start/keep making changes to it as often as everything else keeps changing ;)

-- [AUG-03-20 Martha Jakab] --------------
ok, so does that mean you are ready to launch?

-- [AUG-03-20 Anonymous] --------------
We're now onboard with CareerFair+  as part of the Career Connection Center's package deal.  And as of today we finally have a confirmed time and date - September 18, 2020, 1-5 pm EST

-- [JUL-14-20 Anonymous] --------------
Ok. The app is in the process of (hopefully) getting cleared through UFIT. I mostly need to go through and tweak the details with how everything is/has been changing.

-- [JUL-14-20 Martha Jakab] --------------
ok, just let me know when you are ready to launch it. I will change your status back to assigned.

lol literally looking at it right now :D We're doing a virtual event targeted for Sep. 21 using CareerFair+ app. Will probably still need this CVent site to take in $$

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.

We're glad you're interested in doing more with Quickbase!

Now we need to make you official before you share apps or manage your account.

Verifying your email lets you share Quickbase with others in your company.
