Updates

The project update log is shown below.

⚠️ Your request is in the final stages and is locked for comments and file uploads. If you need urgent assistance please email both Jason Phenicie (jphenicie@uff.ufl.edu) and Monica Vosilla (mvosilla@uff.ufl.edu)

[JUL-10-19  8:12 AM  Anonymous] I may have duplicated this request this morning.  :-(  Please feel free to cancel this morning's request. I am working on this project on behalf of Anna Hoffman. She said the timeline associated with this request works for her, except that she would like it to go out on the morning of 8/1/2019 (if that isn't possible, then 8/5 or 8/6 are fine - she doesn't want it to go on a Friday or the weekend).

[JUL-10-19  8:14 AM  Anonymous] Data pull request has been submitted to the Data Help Group.

[JUL-17-19  4:14 PM  Anonymous] I have now received what Anna Hoffman would like to go out on 8/1/2019, but am not sure it is in the format you can use. It is located here:  https://con-main-a2.sites.medinfo.ufl.edu/?wysija-page=1&controller=email&action=view&email_id=256&wysijap=subscriptions.  If not, please let me know in writing (so, I don't misinterpret between you and her) what exactly you need from her.  I do know that she wants the email to look like this finished product and include the working links within it.

[JUL-24-19  8:41 AM  Anonymous] Yancy: Just checking in to see if there is anything we needed to do? Should we anticipate the first draft today?  I've also checked back in with the Data Help Group to confirm the ETA of the data, which is due by 7/26, and will add that file as soon as I get it.  Thank you.  :-)

[JUL-26-19  9:36 AM  Anonymous] Yancy on behalf of Anna Hoffman: Looks good! Here are my edits:

Can the masthead at the very top hyperlink to http://gatornurse.nursing.ufl.edu?

Is it possible to have a square blue button at the bottom of every story that says “Read More” instead of just the link and also have each of the titles link to their stories? If not, here are the changes to those:
Under feature story, change the link wording to “Read More About the Nursing Shortage”
Under “UF Nursing Researcher’s Findings…,” change link wording to “Read More About the Routine Procedure”
Under “UF Nursing Researchers Awarded $2.57 Million…,” change link wording to “Read More About the $2.57 Million Grant”
Under “Welcome New Faculty,” change link wording to “Read More About Our New Faculty” (capitalize)
Under “College of Nursing Celebrates Graduates,” capitalize “About” in link
Faculty and Student Accomplishments, capitalize all words (“Read More About Faculty Accomplishments” and “Read More About Student Accomplishments”
Under the Helene Fuld story, change link to “Read More About the Helene Fuld Scholarship” (basically take out “support”)
Under “Florida Alumni Partner to Assist African Organizations, add “Read More About the Florida Africa Foundation” with the hyperlink
Under “Alumni Updates,” capitalize “About” in “Read More About the 40 Under 40”

[JUL-30-19  2:19 PM  Anonymous] Edits, per Anna Hoffman:  A few more edits and links that weren’t working:

All “Read More” buttons should be centered across the bottom of their respective section (like in the “Welcome New Faculty” section).

Dean’s Message – Delete extra space after “cover story” and before comma. Link doesn’t work in title or button. Should go to https://gatornurse.nursing.ufl.edu/2019/07/16/message-from-the-dean-4/

UF Nursing Researcher – Change “pre-term” to “preterm” in the title and in the blurb. Link works in title but not on button. Should go to https://nursing.ufl.edu/2019/06/11/uf-nursing-researchers-findings-upend-routine-feeding-procedure-for-pre-term-infants/

$2.57 Million Grant - link works in title but not on button. Should go to https://nursing.ufl.edu/2019/05/08/uf-nursing-researchers-awarded-2-57-million-grant-to-focus-on-preventing-falls-among-older-patients/

Welcome New Faculty – need comma after “faculty appointments” and before “with several more”

Florida Alumni Partner to Assist African Organizations – Capitalize “the” in front of “Gator Nation”

Alumni Updates – Lowercase and hyphenate “board-certified” and the button text for “Read More: 40 Under 40” should be all caps like the rest of them and also remove “the.”

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
