Presentation Title, in bold, centered: Announcing New Initiatives in the UF Center for Coastal Solutions
Event Date & Time in Bold: Tuesday, December 8 at 4:00 - 4:45pm
Header Image: Please select a generic Northeast Florida coastal image (beach and ocean, or something like that) and add the Nassau County Gator Club logo to the top right corner, if possible
Invite text: All across Florida's 8,000 miles of coastline, natural disasters and environmental hazards such as hurricanes and red tide blooms are having significant impacts to Florida’s economy, environmental quality, and public health.
We are excited to showcase the Center for Coastal Solutions (CCS), a bold new initiative at the University of Florida whose goal is to bring together experts from engineering, science, industry and government to tackle some of the most difficult environmental hazards we face today. Our mission is to create a 'smart resource hub’ to collect, analyze and deliver solutions to prevent future environmental disasters to our state.
As home to the world’s fastest AI supercomputer in higher education, the University of Florida is uniquely positioned to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to predict and prevent these hazards, before they happen.
We invite you to join Nassau County Gator Club® and the CCS Director and College of Engineering Faculty Member Dr. Christine Angelini for an informative 30-minute discussion, followed by Q&A to learn more about the UF Center for Coastal Solutions and how you can become a part of this exciting chapter in UF’s history.
