[MAR-14-22  8:10 AM  Monica Vosilla] Hi Alexa,
Would April 7 be an acceptable send date? Gator Nation News goes out on April 6 so we suggest avoiding that overlap, if possible.
-Monica

[MAR-14-22  8:13 AM  Anonymous] Hi Monica,
Yes, no problem - April 7 works well for us. Thank you!

[MAR-14-22 11:06 AM  Monica Vosilla] Wonderful - thank you! April 7th it is. -m

On the UF Faculty since 1977, Dr. Bruce MacFadden is a distinguished professor at the Florida Museum of Natural History and the director of the Thompson Earth Systems Institute (TESI). He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in geology from Columbia University with a specialization in paleontology. The author of over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles and a book on Fossil Horses (Cambridge), he has been principal investigator on more than 50 external grants, mostly from the National Science Foundation, totaling nearly $40 million. In 2009-2010 he was a Program Officer in the Education Directorate at NSF and in 2015-2016 was a Visiting Scientist at the Santa Cruz County Office of Education  in California.

A signature program of the Thompson Earth Systems Institute, Scientist in Every Florida School (SEFS) provides scientist role models and experiences to Florida public school teachers and students free of charge. Components include virtual and in-person classroom interactions with scientists, including over 600 interactions in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties to date, and unparalleled teacher professional development workshops throughout the state. SEFS has a growing presence in South Florida and numerous collaborations that have exposed K-12 audiences to current scientific research and careers in science fields like never before.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
