[JAN-13-17  8:11 AM  Jason Phenicie] Good morning Jill - I wanted to follow-up on this request. We have not received materials for this job, so we will be unable to meet the 1/18 requested send date. Are you still planning to complete this project? If so, please submit your materials at https://ufodaa.quickbase.com/db/bk6w4fz4u?a=edr&rid=2&dfid=12. If we receive materials today (1/13), we can have a draft to you for review by 1/19. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

[JAN-13-17  8:19 AM  Anonymous] Hi Jason, I apologize. I think we thought we might be receiving some questions about overall design first. I will get with my internal client, Amy Ladendorf, to have her compile the content. Thank you!

[JUL-05-17  2:55 PM  Jason Phenicie] Marking as canceled. Have not heard back and need to close out fiscal year projects.

[JUL-05-17  2:56 PM  Anonymous] Hi Jason, thanks for your note. I haven't received anything from the department so unfortunately I don't have anything new to share on this project.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
