[MAY-03-18  7:30 AM  Jason Phenicie] Good morning Jessica,

I just wanted to touch base and see when we can expect all of the materials.

Thank you,
Jason

[MAY-03-18 10:23 AM  Anonymous] Hi Jason,

Sorry for the delay. We are currently getting Melissa's approval on the memos.

We also have some edits and an addition to the newsletter:

RAISE - We need to change out the pictures

Adv Spotlight - Can you add the following as a caption? "Jodi Gentry, Vice President for Human Resources, looks on as Elizabeth Serra receives her Superior Accomplishment Award from President Fuchs."

HAND - We need to change the date. I will send the location and updated date when I upload the memos.

Performance Appraisals - We need to lowercase the final "process" in the paragraph. In the deadlines section, we need to remove the second "July 31" deadline and have the first one read "2018 Performance Appraisals DUE for Fundraisers and Advancement Employees"

APP Open Labs - We need to add "(NOTE: DATES HAVE CHANGED)" in bold after the header for the list and change the bulleted list to the following:
o   Monday, May 14 - 10:00 AM -12:00 PM (EAH, Classroom)
o   Monday, May 14 - 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (EAH, Classroom)
o   Friday, May 18 – 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM (1329 Building; COM/HSC Units)
o   Monday, May 21 - 8:30 AM - 10:30 PM (EAH, Warrington Conf. Room)
o   Monday, May 21 - 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (EAH, Warrington Conf. Room)

Healthy Snacks - Change "We all" to "Many of us"

Leader Corner - We need to change the hyperlink to https://www.ted.com/talks/dan_pink_on_motivation?referrer=playlist-10_guiding_principles_for_leaders&utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare

Wellness Wire - the link in the copy is bad. https://www.dms.myflorida.com/content/download/141280/911145/April_2018_wellness_wire.pdf

Our Addition: We need to re-add the Policy Corner to the News You Can Use section.
We are engaged in an ongoing effort to update and revise the policies that govern UF Foundation and UF Advancement operations.
The following policies have recently been revised, apply to all staff and can be found on the HUB and our external website:
1.01 - Statement of Values
1.02 - Code of Ethics
1.03 - Confidentiality of Foundation Records
1.04 - Whistleblower Protection
1.05 - Conflicts of Interest
1.06 - Information Technology Security
1.07 - Strategic and Business Planning and Risk Assessment
2.01 - Fundraising and Administration of Gifts
2.02 - General Provisions for Gifts
2.03 - General Provisions for Solicitations
2.04 - Donor Restrictions on Gifts
Please note: we are aware that some duplicate-numbered policies exist; this issue will be resolved as we work through updates with the remaining list of policies.
We encourage anyone who has questions, comments, or suggestions about these or any other policies to contact Karen Sprague at 352-392-5499 or ksprague@uff.ufl.edu

Thank You

[MAY-09-18  8:47 AM  Anonymous] Hi Jason,

Just a couple of edits this time:

Performance Appraisals:
We need to change the paragraph to the following: "It’s almost time to reflect on our individual goals for the 2018 fiscal year. The annual Performance Appraisal cycle will occur in July. Please note that UF Advancement will participate in the process even though it is optional for others at UF this year. Two CE Sessions regarding the Performance Appraisal process and conversations are scheduled for June 11 and June 25. Details are coming soon."
Bold July, June 11, and June 25

HAND:
The date has been changed to "June 19 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM". Please bold the date and time.
The location has changed to the President's Room.

AP Labs:
We need to change all of the times to reflect the 00:00 AM/PM format. We also need to bold May 1 and May 25

Thanks

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.

We're glad you're interested in doing more with Quickbase!
