Joey,  sorry for taking so long to respond, I have been out of the office for the past week.  You will need to submit a job request for the magazine.  I will cancel the Perspective request for August.  It will require a minimum one week turn-around from the time we receive all the materials required to process the job. This time takes into consideration editing and our AVP approval process, of course sometimes things move faster, and this is merely an estimate.

Thanks,
Tonya Gibbs

Subject: FW: A Year In Review

Good morning Tonya, I had scheduled a mailing that is due today. It was to be the August Perspective. We are cancelling the August Perspective to send out our annual magazine instead. Last year, we sent you a cover image with a link embedded (the email below). We are currently moving into our new offices and will not have the cover ready until next Friday. Can we still do this mailing? If so, can you give an estimate when it would most likely go out? We know we’re late and would understand it being pushed back. Please advise. Thank you.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
