Hi Carl,

I just wanted to update you that we are working on this request. I hope to have a draft by the end of the month.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

I hope all is well. I had a few thoughts and wanted to make sure I sent the copy your way.

A slight change to the website flow, I added a bullet under Get Involved for “Gator Too” and provided a link to redirect them.

Also, under the UF Parent & Family Leadership Council section, instead of including the one pager I thought it might be better to use this copy instead, so it is easy to understand. Maybe we can spice up the font or something, but here is what I think would be best:

Members:

  • Serve as ambassadors for the University of Florida
  • Promote innovative and expanded programs inside and outside of the classroom
  • Provide input and feedback on important issues and trends impacting higher education
  • Advocate and assist in college activities as well as in significant university-wide initiatives
  • Work with the university and its development staff to aid in efforts to develop private sources of funding

Qualifications:

  1. Have a desire to enhance the signature student experience for all Gators
  2. Value publicly supported higher education as a major force in meeting the critical needs of society
  3. Believe that the University of Florida is an integral component of public higher education and a significant asset to the state, the region, and the nation

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend at least one scheduled council meeting per year (meetings occur bi-annually)
  2. Host, volunteer and advocate on behalf of the university at public events and engagements when appropriate
  3. Make introductions to parents and families who have potential to make significant contributions
  4. Participate in college events and development-sponsored programs to gain greater awareness of the university
  5. Make a major gift* commitment commensurate with your financial means to any area at the University of Florida
  6. Give an annual gift of $5,000 to the Student Affairs Support Fund, which creates signature student experiences that lead the university's efforts on: Health and Wellness, Leadership, Success Services and Career Readiness.

Terms:

Members are able to serve on the council until their Gator graduates from the University of Florida, with the opportunity to renew for a two-year term following graduation.

Similarly, can we do the same thing for the Fellows?

DEEPEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA by joining the UF Parent & Family Fellows, a community of dedicated benefactors whose philanthropic support to the university underscores their personal support of their students.

The generosity of Gator parents and families sustains and strengthens UF’s signature student experience, tradition of academic excellence and culture of care.

As a UF Parent & Family Fellow, you are recognized for an annual gift of $1,000 or more, which may support a wide range of philanthropic interests. Fellows are encouraged to include the Gator Parent & Family Association Fund in their giving each year.

GATOR PARENT & FAMILY ASSOCIATION FUND GIFTS GO TO WORK IMMEDIATELY, SUPPORTING:

  • Student health and wellness initiatives
  • Career readiness opportunities
  • Student success efforts
  • Leadership development

IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR GENEROSITY,UF PARENT & FAMILY FELLOWS ENJOY:

  • Regional events with university speakers and leaders
  • Invitation-only receptions and exclusive volunteer opportunities throughout the year
  • Personal support and communication from the staff in UF Advancement

Good morning Carl,

The new member photos have been added to the membership page. Please review everything at https://www.uff.ufl.edu/pre-production/pfc/ and let me know when we're ready to move this to production.

Below is the message from Holly & Greg for the website! Can you add this to the welcome tab, along with their photo?

Also, when that is uploaded, can the website be officially published? Oh and can you add my headshot to the contact us page?

_________

Welcome to the Gator Family! As members of the UF Parent & Family Leadership Council (PFC), and proud alumni, we support programs that enhance the signature student experience and culture of care for our children, their classmates, and future generations of Gators. We are excited to become more involved as our children follow in our footsteps at UF creating their own experiences and memories – with three daughters and seven degrees, we find ourselves learning new things about the university with each interaction we have on campus and through regional events.

We invite you to join the PFC and become even more connected than you thought possible with the Gator Nation and your child’s college education.  Your input regarding the areas you connect with and impact will help move UF forward in the Rise to Five among top public universities, according to the US News & World Report.

We have gained a closer connection to UF by being members of the PFC and have made many new lifetime friends around the country through our involvement since 2017. If you are interested in learning more about this unique group of like-minded families who are passionate about making the Gator experience the best it can be, please feel reach out to Carl Archut Jr., Associate Director of Development, at carchut@uff.ufl.edu or 352-392-5471.

Go Gators!

Good morning Carl,

I've added the welcome letter and added your photo to the contact page. Please review and let me know if I've missed anything. If we're good, click the complete link and I'll get the pages scheduled for migration to production.

Thanks!
Jason

Swap out the Boyett family picture for the one that I found.

Out of curiosity, can the banner “Parent Philanthropy” appear on the following pages?

And can the PFC banner be included on all of the PFC related pages:

Can the main URL for this site be edited from PFC to GatorFamilyGiving or something like that? What are your thoughts?

-- [DEC-19-19 Jason Phenicie] --------------

Hi Carl,

The Boyett photo is the new one you provided - you may need to clear your browser cache or use a different browser to see it.

I've added the banners to all of the pages, as suggested.

If we change the URL, I would recommend changing it to /familygiving - thoughts?

If you're good with everything, I can get this prepped for migration to production. If I get the approval by mid-morning tomorrow, 12/20, I may be able to get the migration completed tomorrow afternoon or Monday (other crises aside). If not, I should be able to get it the week of Jan 13.

Thanks,
Jason

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.

We're glad you're interested in doing more with Quickbase!

Now we need to make you official before you share apps or manage your account.
