Specific Update Instructions
So we had a direct request from the donor, Former Senator Bill Nelson, to Dean Russell come in this morning on the issue of the name of this fund. It is going to be officially launched and marketed starting next week and so he was reviewing and had a few changes he would like to see made. First, and most important, he wants the name to be the "Nelson Initiative on Ethics and Leadership", he wants the word "Fund" to be left off as he feels the word "Initiative" replaces it and better reflects his intent and desire for this giving. I have started the process on getting the UFF-A submitted (which I will attach here) and that should be in the works shortly but I wanted to get this request into you guys so you had as much time as possible to, hopefully, make this change in time for the big public push. Let me know if you need any more information from me and thanks so much for all of your work and assistance.

I certify that the content submitted with this request has been reviewed for accuracy and has received final edits and approvals for publishing

Good morning Maggie,

I just wanted to check if you knew the status of the UFF-A form. Advance is not reflecting a name change.

Thanks,
Jason

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quick Base often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quick Base finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quick Base needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
