Good morning Michelle,
This fund was removed at the request of Finance & Accounting as part of a mass removal of funds back in 2018. I'll put in a request with Operations to evaluate whether we can reinstate the fund in online giving. I'll let you know what I find out.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,
Would you be able to update the copy? Please use the following:
The Alan M. Jacobs Memorial Fund, established in 2007, honors the memory of Alan Jacobs, Ph.D. Dr. Jacobs earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Cornell University and his master's and doctoral degrees from Penn State University.
Dr. Jacobs began his professional career in 1956 as a Nuclear Engineering faculty member at Penn State, earning the National Science Foundation Faculty Fellow in 1960 and 1961.
In 1980, Dr. Jacobs moved to Gainesville, Florida, to chair the Nuclear and Radiological Engineering department at the University of Florida. For more than 23 years, Dr. Jacobs was a UF faculty member, supervising graduate degree candidates.
Dr. Jacobs was the recipient of the Glenn Murphy Award for nuclear science education by the American Society for Engineering Education in 1994, holds eight U.S. patents, and conducted successful research utilizing Compton Backscatter Imaging to detect buried landmines for the U.S. Army.
Most importantly, Dr. Jacobs was a loving husband, father, and mentor to family members and students. The Alan M. Jacobs Memorial Fund continues Dr. Jacob's legacy by supporting undergraduate and graduate scholarships and fellowships for students in the UF Nuclear Engineering Program.
