Project Description
1. Email invitation design. DCP already sent out a notice to its alumni in the DC area, however, consensus is that their design needs some work before the formal invitation goes out. Audience: DCP alumni in the area, PG donors/prospects in the area, DC Gator Club members. Julie Frey is packaging her designer’s file and will send that to me. Do you have someone who could spruce it up? I also have the invitation text that was agreed upon at our meeting. Once the design is finished, Maria would like an electronic copy to be shared with Matt Hodge, who will forward it to Tommy Shannon (PG donor and past Horatio Alger Award winner, who wants to attend). The invitation may also be sent personally to other PG donors. 2. Event décor. Do you have any standing banners or other orange-and-blue décor items that DCP could use to liven up the room? The DCP event coordinator has visited the venue (The Florida House) and will be sharing photos of the room with us. Seth thinks they have a couple vertical banners, but would appreciate our unit’s Go Gator stuff if you can spare it. 3. Photographer for the event. Since they will have the president, dean and PG donors at the event (some of whom may participate in the show), Seth would really like to have a photographer there. I suggested Steve Johnson, since he’s a Gator and used to work here (knows what we want/need). Steve is working out of DC now, but travels around the world for shoots. If he’s not available, is this something you would consider sending Aaron to handle?

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
