Project Description
LiveStream schedule Drop Dates: 2/11/21 2/18/21 Heather A. shared basic layout. They are interested in having multiple hosts throughout the day. (Scooter?) Villanova is an example of a great livestream. They did a 12-hour stream and ten hours of the stream was truly live. Villanova used a graphic with live progress to goal in the background. Heather D. spoke to Marci from Villanova. She will find out who handled the LiveStream/production to get in contact with Dave. Need to discuss where, when and other logistics surrounding the production of LiveStream. Jill has been tasked with helping identify students to represent the campus voice as host(s) for Giving Day as Dave finalizes list of SUAH hosts to use. Updated 10/28 (from H. Adkins): just a sample of the day outlined in a basic format so we can start to piece this together. The livestream dictates basically our day’s schedule so we want to have everything running in harmony. There is a very basic outline I shared with Dave that has the schedule emails included. We just want to start beefing that up so we can figure out who, where, when, etc. things can drop. If we want units to provide content for example we need to tell them what we want now rather than later. They need as much time as possible. I attached the schedule Villanova used and want to start with something like this so we can drill down on the how we execute. I can make a draft schedule, but don’t know if that is going to help considering the execution will be dependent on communications to track down folks to record, piece together, etc. If you want a draft from me I can send by tomorrow afternoon.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
