Project Description
Alumni Relations is requesting the input/expertise of our team regarding the communications plan for the UF license plate in Alabama since we are unfortunately not going to reach the design goal of 1,000 plates committed by June 30. The good news is there will still be a UF license plate in Alabama, but the design will be the more basic design for 250 plates. Current/promoted plate design shown on https://precommit.mvtrip.alabama.gov/UserCommit/Index: The “new” plate design (actually the original file, simpler design) is attached in box. For the communications plan and based on timing, let me know you and your team’s thoughts on: • APF e-mail to all Alabama contacts with the “new design” message o Call to action is reminder to sign up for the license plate o Goal/objective is to share the updated design since folks will have committed to purchase a different design than what they will receive o We request suggested messaging from your team for the new design update, if possible • Facebook graphic that the (3) local Gator Clubs® can post to promote the new design o Depending on your thoughts, UFAA Facebook could share too, but we recognize this post is for a select audience only in Alabama – whatever you all recommend Just FYI, a postcard was originally mailed to all APF in Alabama (design attached for reference), but the timing of sending another postcard before June 30 is not realistic. Do you think graphics for the e-mail and Facebook could be ready soon, by May 23 or earlier? We would like to share as early as possible ahead of the June 30 deadline. Please let me know if you and your team have any questions or would like any other details, and thank you in advance for your input and sharing your expertise.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
